RIP James Garner (1928-2014)
It’d be nice to sit by ourselves in our own room and…
…read a book.
Read a book?
"Miss Wright, is that what you’ll be doing
after you’re married? Reading books?”
R.I.P. James Garner, who has passed away at the age of 86.
I cried for 20 minutes this morning over it.
Sterling Archer’s Monaco racecar and Number Six’s Lotus Seven
I meant to do this long ago, but the car that Archer, the world’s most dangerous spy, hops into towards the end of “Jeu Monégasque" looks like a late 60’s Lotus 49 with a yellow and dark green color scheme like Jim Clark’s, only the choice of number makes it seem like a reference to The Prisoner, whose protagonist the burned spy known as Number Six (yes, the cylon namesake) drives a Lotus 7 with a very similar paint job.
Guest stars on 1960s spy series The Man from U.N.C.L.E. familiar to old school Star Trek fans
Michael Donfield, Vladek, whatsisname and Satine!
…and do not be confused: the ship’s engineer named Scotty on MFU was NOT played by Jimmy Doohan.
